Some species of hard maple grow to 130 feet in height, though the average height range is closer to 100 feet. Hard maple makes up approximately 8% of the commercially available hardwoods in the United States and is often called the “cold-weather tree” favoring northern climates. It is prevalent in the northern and eastern United States.
